Welcome to the Vinery Wiki.
This is your home for blocks, items, mechanics, and quick guidance for Vinery.
Vinery adds new wild plants and crops to discover in newly generated chunks, introduces winemaking stations for juice processing and fermentation, and offers a large selection of placeable wines.
Alongside that, you get practical vineyard and cellar decor, dedicated storage options for bottles, and a few unique entities that can help you obtain Vinery items in survival.
Grapevine Pot

Stomp grapes into must and collect fresh grape juice with bottles.
The Grapevine Pot is used to process grapes into grape juice.
Fill the pot with a single grape variant until it is full. Jump in and move around to stomp the grapes into must. Once the juice is ready, collect it using wine bottles.
You cannot mix different grape variants in the same pot.

Fermentation Barrel

Main station for fermenting juice into wine.
Open the Fermentation Barrel to ferment wine.
Add the required ingredients, insert a container item such as a Wine Bottle, then add the matching juice via the fill slot. Hovering the juice slot shows which juice is stored and how much is left.
When everything is set up correctly, the output slot will produce the finished wine after processing.
To empty the stored juice, shift-right-click the block.

Apple Press

Crafting station for mashing apples and fermenting apple products.
The Apple Press is used for two processes: mashing and fermenting.
To mash apples, place them into the upper left input slot. After a short time, Apple Mash is produced and moved into the fermenting input slot.
To ferment, use the middle input slots with ingredients and containers such as wine bottles. The output slot provides the finished product after processing.

Lattice
Wall decor that can also be used to cultivate jungle grapes.
Lattice is a decorative block that can be used to cultivate Jungle Grapes.
Right-click the lattice while holding Jungle Grape Seeds to plant them.
Lattice connects to adjacent lattice blocks. With an axe, right-click to toggle supports on or off. It also supports different placement options, including on top of a block or on the side of another block.

Wine Racks
Dedicated storage blocks for displaying wine bottles.
Wine Racks are designed to store and display wine bottles as part of your cellar or interior builds.
They come in different sizes and wood variants, and each rack supports specific bottle formats.

Wine Box

A compact storage and decoration option for smaller wines.
The Wine Box can be opened and closed to access its contents.

Vineyard Slabs
Terrain slabs used for vineyard paths and tiered fields.
Vinery offers multiple slabs for building vineyards and paths, including Grass, Dirt, and Coarse Dirt.

Stem

It is two blocks high. To place the respective seeds, click the upper part while holding the seeds.

Apple Mash

Apple Mash is obtained using the Apple Press.

Winemaker Armor
Armor set designed for grape cultivation with a full set bonus.
When wearing the full Winemaker Armor Set, you gain a set bonus that prevents bone meal from being consumed.
Instead, the armor loses durability in exchange.

Completionist Banner

A trophy banner unlocked by crafting every Vinery wine at least once.
The Completionist Banner is a special trophy for true Vinery completionists.
You unlock it by crafting every Vinery wine at least once. To trigger the advancement, you must have all wines in your inventory at the same time.
When tooltips are enabled, the banner also shows a small thank you message in its tooltip.

Cherry

Fresh fruit harvested from cherry trees.
Rotten Cherry

An unpleasant cherry with a small chance to drop during harvesting.
Rotten Cherry has a small chance to drop when harvesting cherries.
It is not meant to be eaten. It can be thrown at unwanted creatures or friends.

Apple and Cherry Trees
Fruit trees that generate naturally and can be harvested directly from their leaves.
Apple and Cherry Trees generate naturally in specific overworld biomes.
Some leaf blocks are able to grow fruit over time. Fruit progresses through multiple growth stages and becomes harvestable at the final stage.
To harvest fruit, keep your main hand empty and right-click the leaf block that visually shows fruit. The fruit drops instantly and the leaf resets, allowing it to regrow fruit later.
For apple trees, not every leaf can grow fruit. Some leaves are marked when generated or placed and are eligible for fruit growth. Bone meal can enable fruit growth on a leaf and speed up its growth stages.
Cherry leaves behave similarly, but only cherry leaves can drop rotten cherries.

Grapes
Wild and cultivated grape varieties found across different overworld biomes.
Vinery adds several grape variants that generate naturally in the overworld.
Common grapes can be found in Forest, Plains, Swamp, Birch Forest, Meadow, Sunflower Plains, and River biomes.
Taiga Grapes generate in taiga biomes and are rarer than common grapes.
Savanna Grapes generate in savanna biomes and are very rare.
Jungle Grapes generate in jungle biomes and are relatively common.
Grape seeds can either be planted as grape bushes or grown on grapevine stems. Savanna grapes require lattice blocks to grow properly.

Wandering Winemaker

A trader that can offer Vinery items in exchange for emeralds.
Having trouble finding specific seeds or grapes? Keep an eye out for the Wandering Winemaker.
He can appear from time to time and offers Vinery items in exchange for emeralds. His offers vary each visit.
The Wandering Winemaker shares the spawn chance with the Minecraft Wandering Trader. This can be adjusted in the config.

Winemaker Villager

Winemaker Donkey

A donkey that accompanies the Wandering Winemaker.
The Winemaker Donkey spawns together with the Wandering Winemaker.
It behaves like a normal donkey and can be mounted and ridden by the player.

Jellie
A small tribute to Jellie, the beloved cat of GoodTimesWithScar. Grants comforting, powerful effects similar to a Golden Apple.
Creeper Effect
Triggers an explosion on the affected player.
Experience
Increases gained experience.
Climbing
Lets you climb steep walls.
Water Walker
Walk over water.
Armor
Increases armor and armor toughness.
Frosty Armor
Grants armor and damage, but slows you down and makes you freeze.
Health
Increases maximum health.
Luck
Increases luck.
Resistance
Reduces incoming damage.

Configuration
Most Vinery features can be adjusted via a configuration file, usually located at `config/vinery.json`.
Winemaker Zombies
Sometimes zombies spawn wearing a winemaker apron.
Loot and Exploration
Certain items and ingredients can be found while exploring the world.
